Hello,

 

I'm Marvin Hensley and I am the pastor of Covy Rock Freewill Baptist Church.  I was born and raised in Yancey County, living my first 18 years here in Green Mountain, North Carolina.  At the age of ten, I was saved at a bible school and joined Covy Rock Church soon after.  In August of 1974, on a Sunday morning in Covy Rock Church, I announced my calling to preach God's holy word.

 

In February of 1975 I married the love of my life, Deborah Hughes, and the Lord has blessed us with two wonderful boys. Over the last 35 years we have pastored six churches in Western North Carolina. 

 

In November 2014 , I returned to Covy Rock as pastor, back to my roots!  The Lord does great and marvelous things!
